Or wondering how to 'fit' their bisexuality into their day to day lives ?
This site simply a meeting point for likeminded women struggling with their feelings. It only takes a minute to register and is completely free !
I have numerous female friends who think they swing both ways simply because the idea of kissing another girl doesn’t totally repulse them. Often she gets the bartender’s attention beforehand.
But would they have a relationship with another woman? This pisses me off because it is both insensitive and hurtful.
So If you’ve tried either of those, leave your experience in the comments! HER (formerly Dattch)HER is a fresh, ultra flexible app aimed exclusively at lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, and queer women.
HER’s modern hybrid of dating and social networking is a refreshing break from the pressure to hook-up or fuck off that embodies some competitors.
Since then, I’ve figured out that I’m solely into girls. But, alas, in parts of the gay community, being bi or being a lesbian who has hooked up with guys in the past is like having horns or an incurable disease. (Hello, boob circle photos.) They make being bisexual unacceptable in the eyes of some and are the reason even I can’t say the word without putting air quotes around it.
This isn’t the case for all girls I have dated, but some lesbians don’t want to date anyone who has been near a penis. Girls who have always been gay and nothing else carry it like a badge of honor. And, although for most of these girls it stops with a kiss or an innocent boob-grab, some of them actually identify themselves as bisexual, thus mucking things up for the whole gay community. One of my friends in particular finds it necessary to grab my face and plant a wet one on me every time she has had too much to drink. As any woman knows, dating, even in the age of Tinder and OKCupid can be an ordeal akin to slogging through a fetid marsh in search of treasure. For bisexuals, and indeed anyone who does not identify as being straight, gay, or lesbian, this is further complicated by the numerous stereotypes that have been associated with them.According to surveys done in the United States and around the world, an estimated 3.5% of adults in the United States identify as lesbian, gay, or bisexual and an estimated 0.3% of adults are transgender, with the National Health Interview Survey finding that 0.7% of adults consider themselves bisexual. The results of such surveys would suggest there are approximately nine million LGBTQ Americans, that there are more bisexual women than men, and therefore far more of them are looking for a date than is suggested by the media. In my experience, I’ve found that it’s often necessary to approach dating as though it was a hostile fortress in Skyrim, which seems appropriate, given how many men view bisexual women as tokens to be won.
